Giedrius Subacius is the Chairman and President of Lituanus. He holds the Endowed Chair in Lithuanian Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, his primary scholarly interests are in historical sociolinguistics, development of standard languages, history of linguistic thought, and history of Lithuanian immigration. Subacius is a founder and an editor of the scholarly journal Archivum Lithuanicum, he is a president elect of Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies.
Almants Samalavicius is the Editor in Chief of Lituanus, He is a full professor at the School of Architecture, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and simultaneously at the Department of English, Vilnius University. Educated as English philologist, he received his Ph.D in architectural history and criticism. An author of some 12 scholarly books in several disciplines, Samalavicius has been a visiting professor at a number of universities in the US, Europe and Asia. He has been an associate editor of Lithuania’s leading cultural monthly Kulturos barai and simultaneously is the editor-in-chief of the international scholarly quarterly Journal of Architecture and Urbanism. His literary and academic writing has earned him eight prizes in Lithuania.
